Drumaldry Homes Association, Inc.

The Drumaldry Neighborhood is Located Within The Courts of Wyngate Subdivision in Bethesda, Maryland, Just Off of Greentree Road.

A neighborhood of 104 single-family homes built in the early 1970’s, Drumaldry stands out in the predominantly “colonial” Washington area landscape for its modern architectural style.

Six different house models share the distinctive characteristics of this development: board and batten siding with redwood trim, with stains or paints chosen from a palette of nature’s colors. Roofs are cedar shakes and expansive windows visually bring the outdoors into the living space. This exposure required walls around each property for privacy, but apart from providing private, cloistered gardens and secure yards for children to play in, the brick walls also give visual continuity to the community.

Drumaldry epitomizes the concept of location, location, location. It is inside the Beltway, close to all forms of major transportation and yet, inside the community itself is quiet.
